Consentful Cybernetics

Consentful Cybernetics is the research and protocol container for a core question:

How can powerful intelligence coordinate at scale without turning ambiguity, attention, preference, or silence into permission?

The project treats consent not merely as a legal checkbox or interpersonal courtesy, but as a system property: a way to preserve agency, refusal, scope, revocation, context, witness, and repair as human and machine coordination becomes more powerful.

Its public structure currently unfolds through four pillars:

• Research — studying consent as a measurable stability property, state transition, cross-substrate invariant, and precursor to system waste.
• Protocols — making values executable through identity, presence, permission, dialogue, memory, revocation, and repair primitives.
• Models — training usable intelligence to notice consent-relevant trajectories without collapsing ambiguity into permission.
• Applications — deploying consentful coordination in organizational, civic, interpersonal, and AI-mediated systems.

Within the POLEMEMELOP constellation, Consentful Cybernetics belongs in the Trust & Consent branch and functions as a parent container for several related lanterns: ConsentGraph, Dialogica, HumanKey, FractalIdentity, Abracadabradoo, Continuity Office, DeepTrust, Loopmail, Crystalstream, and Reaction Coaster.
